Love for Delirium!!!

Ok let me just say WOW! I am only on page 157 and I cannot stand to put this book down. I already rank this book as one of my top 5 favorites! All the reviews I have read about Delirium were absoultly right! I have nothin but love for this book. The only thing I can say that wouldnt be completely positive ( but still kinda is depends on how you take it) is that I cant read it fast enouph. I find myself having to slow down and reread some of the descriptive parts or just Lena's lost in her own thoughts parts, because I am trying to get further to the next part of the scene where she is going to interact with Alex! Dont get me wrong the descriptive parts are very good and the "lost in Lena's thoughts" parts to, its just so good that im eating it up to fast and have to slow myself down to take it all in. Otherwise I would miss some pretty important things just because Im trying to get to the juicy parts. lol I am very impatient but this is such a great read that I cant help but devour it!!! Okay Im done gushing.......for now! I just had to get my excitement out before I exploded!

Review: Shiver (The wolves fo Mercy Falls) by Maggie Stiefvater

Synopsis

For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf--her wolf--is a chilling presence she can't seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human . . . until the cold makes him shift back again.
Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It's her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human--or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.

Review:

This book was such a differet take on the whole werewolf  idea. I found myself saying "wow" it really is refreshing. I felt that it kinda moved along at a slow pace to begin with but it was worth it because it needed the slow build up so that by the end of the book you feel like you really know the characters. Sam is wonderful and Grace is so in love with him from the moment she lays eyes on him. This is a breathtaking book. Just the scenery that Maggie paints for us, the world she creates of a winter wonderland filled with some seriously haunting secerets is amazingly beautiful. Then its back to the love story and ,oh my , it does get steamy. Every detail of how Grace knows Sams smell and his manurisims is so captivating. I can so relate to the smell memories, I am a person who relates smells and fragrances with different things such as memories and people and when Grace does this so many times its like i share a kindship with her. See it so easy to get wrapped up in this book and be swept away. You cant help but feel close to Grace and marvel at the tenderness and love that is Sam. Through the whole book all I kept wanting was the scenes where Grace and Sam get together talk and get to know one another. There interacton made the book. But as they talk and learn more its like the big questions that Grace should be asking never get asked , she thinks them but dosent voice them. Its frustrating to wanna say to her "just ask him already!" but it builds for suspence. I cant wait to read the next in the series Linger, it should be an exciting read when you look back at the increadable cliff hanger Shiver ended on. I keep saying this book is breathtaking and the ending is why, it literally knocked the breath out of me! I cried at least twice reading the book and once was out of sheer joy! I was so scared for them at times that I almost shook while reading then and so heart broken at times that i wanted to sit there with a box of tissues. This book is an emotional rollar coaster and one hell of a ride!!!

Review: Awakened by P.C. Cast & Kristen Cast

Synopsis:

“My love, speak to me.  Tell me everything.”  Neferet went to Kalona, kneeling before him, stroking the soft, dark wings that unfurled loosely around the immortal.
“What would you have me say?”  He didn’t meet her eyes.
“Zoey lives.” Neferet’s voice was flat, cold, lifeless.
“She does.”
“Then you owe me the subservience of your immortal soul.”  She started to walk away from him.
“Where are you going?  What will happen next?”
“It is quite simple.  I will ensure Zoey is drawn back to Oklahoma.  There, on my own terms, I will complete the task you failed.”
Exonerated by the Vampyre High Council and returned to her position of High Priestess at Tulsa’s House of Night, Neferet has sworn vengeance on Zoey.  Dominion over Kalona is only one of the weapons she plans to use against Z.  But Zoey has found sanctuary on the Isle of Skye and is being groomed by Queen Sgiach to take over for her there.  Being Queen would be cool, wouldn’t it?  Why should she return to Tulsa? After losing her human consort, Heath, she will never be the same – and her relationship with her super-hot-warrior, Stark, may never be the same either…
And what about Stevie Rae and Rephaim?  The Raven Mocker refuses to be used against Stevie Rae, but what choice does he have when no one in the entire world, including Zoey, would be okay with their relationship?  Does he betray his father or his heart?
In the pulse-pounding 8th book in the bestselling House of Night series, how far will the bonds of friendship stretch and how strong are the ties that bind one girl’s heart?

_______________

Review:

In this book there isnt alot a action going on, at least not as much as in most of the other books. But I think it is time we see Zoey kinda get a chance to relax and pull herself together a bit. The only bad thing about that is while she is resting and getting her sence of self back again, the guys back at the house of night are having some serious problems. There are some major thing that go down in the book, we lose more people to death ( i wont say who, but i was shocked!). But we see alot of love as her relationship with Stark takes some serious turns for the better. I personally love Stark so I loved watching them build on there relationship. The bond between the two is so wonderful that it made me feel all mushy. Then back at school you have Stevie Ray who is imprinted with a ravenmocker and we see how that progresses to. I actually like the thought of Stevie Ray finding someone like Raphiem. In this book we see how Stevie Ray and her ravenmocker are dealing with the fact that Kalona and Zoey are back from the otherworld and now it will be hard to keep this big secret. Stevie Ray is dying to tell Zoey , but what will that do thier friendship? Can she risk it? And I absolutly loved that we get to see more of Raphiems side of things. Its very interesting to see just how he sees Stevie Ray. This book lets you see the story from several different perspectives, we also get to see some of Starks thoughts early on and later Kalona and Nefrets as well. And finally we get to see a new perspective from a character that we havent gotten to do that with yet. Its is a wild emotional roller coaster.........but totally worth it......so strap i and hang on cause its gonna get bumpy! I recommend this book to anyone who even slightly liked the others in the series. But how could you not love the whole series? Exactly. I love them all but this one is one of my favorite installments so far.
