Her mother is getting married to the love of her life. Downworlders and Shadowhunters are at peace at last. And—most importantly of all—she can finally call Jace her boyfriend.
But nothing comes without a price.
Someone is murdering Shadowhunters, provoking tensions between Downworlders and Shadowhunters that could lead to a second, bloody war. Clary's best friend, Simon, can't help her. His mother just found out that he's a vampire and now he's homeless. Everywhere he turns, someone wants him on their side—along with the power of the curse that's wrecking his life. And they're willing to do anything to get what they want. Not to mention that he's dating two beautiful, dangerous girls—neither of whom knows about the other one.
When Jace begins to pull away from her without explaining why, Clary is forced to delve into the heart of a mystery whose dsolution reveals her worst nightmare: she herself has set in motion a terrible chain of events that could lead to her losing everything she loves. Even Jace.
Love. Blood. Betrayal. Revenge. The stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels.

My Review

I am a big fan of Cassie and all her books and City of Fallen Angels did NOT disappoint. I fell back into the world of Clary and Jace and found my self in love with the characters all over again. In this 4th book of the Mortal Instruments series we follow Simon more than the last book, as a matter of fact it pretty equally follows Simon , Jace and Clary and I loved being able to see each of their side of things. Simon goes through some tough stuff and we really get to see the more serious side of him. I think after this book I really have more love for Simon, he is such a good guy but he gets alot of bad breaks. He is dating two beautiful girls that are remarkably different and he really isn't sure how he came to be dating both but he doesn't want to break up with either one because he really likes them both and doesn't want to hurt either one of them. But of course you can only date two girls for so long till they find out about each other, especially when they are a werewolf and a shadowhunter.

Then introduce Kyle who I don't quite know how to take right off the bat. He seems to be cool but you know something is up with him right from  the start, you just get a feeling that there is more to him , but you don't know if its good or bad. I wont spoil anything for anyone who hasn't read the book yet but I believe his character was a good addition to the story.

Magnus and Alec are the sweetest couple ever. I love seeing them together and they are so genuinely in love. Watching the relationship between these two grow is so great, I think they have a timeless love that is just meant to be. And they compliment each other so well. So different from each other that they need each other to balance out.

Once again the love between Clary and Jace is so beautiful and we actually get a chance to see them together showing their love for one another without having to hold back. I melted just like butter at them kissing and the way he makes her feel when he holds her tight. The romance is so powerful between these two, its strong and epic. And of course I love the steamy sexy alley scene, that everyone is raving about!!! Soooo hot!!! Cassie is a genius at keeping us on the edge with steamy romance scenes that end to soon and leave us breathless, hearts hammering and drooling for more!

All the action and kick ass demon fighting rolled up with the love and romance going on between several couples makes it a classic Cassie book. It has everything I wanted, and the ending , OMG the ending, it left me going "What? Wait, no that did NOT just happen! Oh Cassie why?! Why do you do this to us?" she leaves us knowing we will have to buy the next book because we wont be able to stand not knowing (of course I m going to buy it anyway, even without the cliff hanger, cause I love all her books.) she is a genius. Nuff said.

If you haven't read this book OMG what are you waiting for?

I give it a huge 5 out of 5 stars!!!!!
