  1. This would actually be my first dystopian read!

  2. I'm not positive if I've every read a dystopian novel! I've heard the term and am quite interested!!
    Thank you for the oppritunity!!
    GFC Shannon Johnson

  3. I have loved dystopians for years. I remember when I had to explain to my friends WHAT a dystopian even was haha.

What I love... the idea that no matter what, the attempted control and leadership always fails. I love reading each author's take on how that happens... because too often its too true!

    Great give away!!

    jennimerritt.writing (at) gmail (dot) com

  4. I loved the novel Wither, a dystopian novel, for the characters' abilites to still escape and do well even in the midst of civilization collapsing. I love dystopian novesl and rarely miss reading any of them. The way the authors create and manipulate the environmeny to portray the hopelessness and helplessness to the reader is one of the best qualities a dystopian novel can have. Thank you so much for this giveaway :)

  5. Sorry, I am a GFC follower-Krystal Larsonm (forgot to include my name)

  6. Dystopia has always been my favorite genre of book. There's just something about people being able to rise up against all odds and take down "the man" in order to make a better life for all.

    Jex @ Everything and Nothing

  7. I <3 dystopian novels, because of how they show how wrong the world can go if we adopt certain ideas. Some dystopian novels also show major human flaws, like the fact that we are keen to ban those around us that seem different or strange to us, etc.

  8. I love dystopian novels because it shows that there's no way to try to create a "perfect" world and trying to control people will only end in chaos. I follow on GFC as squiggles87.

  9. I like the storys are diferent.
    Thanks for the giveaway.

  10. Love dystopian novels!
    great giveaway

  11. Dystopian! I've always admired authors who have the guts to put characters in danger, get them hurt or even killed. There's so much epic action in dystopian books!

    GFC: pepsivanilla14

  12. I've been wanting to read this one!

  13. Hi I just started reading dystopia reads. I like them because they are so different from our own world that is almost hard to imagiine that such a place really exists. The hardship that the people go through is amazing to me and the fact that they re oblivious to that astonishes me. I would love to read this book. All boks won are donated to the Middletown High school.

  14. I love the gritty, dark perspective of the world that is often found in dystopian fiction. Also, there tends to be a level of danger that adds to the excitement of the story.

    GFC follower - Marg K.

    Thanks for the giveaway!!

  15. Really, I think dystopians can serve as a sort of warning to us. "This is how sucky things can be if we're not careful." There's a lot to learn there.

    lhoffpauir at gmail

  16. I love the fact that dystopian novels have a realistic factor to them. The times you think 'this could actually happen!' really makes an impact.
    GFC - wolfluvr420

  17. The intriguing thing abour dystopian novels is the uniqueness of the idea, how survival becomes the main goal of the mind, rather than how you look like or whatever social issue, and I'd rather live in a dystopia than the world today. People these days are fake, actors with veils, but not the characters of a dystopia; they're raw, special, and strong in ways no one else can become. Plus, everything becomes more passionate and real.

Thank you for the great giveaway also! (:

    Thao Huynh

  18. I like the fact that in these novels you can overcome the odds and that its very real.

  19. I love reading about a world that is different from our own.

  20. I love dystopians because its so fun to imagine and delve into a fantasy world, thinking of all the things that might happen to Earth's future!

  23. A dystopian novel can be provocative, will make you think, and if nothing else you can always feel better about present conditions vs. dire future predictions!

What do I like about dystopian reads? Everything! I actually completed my graduate thesis on eschatlogy (apocalyptic themes) in American Literature. I've been dying to read Divergent since early reviews started coming out.. thanks for the chance!

  25. I like them because they are so different from the world I am used to. It kind of freaks out my brain in a thrilling way. It's weird to think that some of the things are possible, and makes you question the future.

    Thanks for the giveaway! :)

  26. I like the creepy realistic feel of dystopian novels. I find them to be quite thrilling and thought provoking.

  27. I have just found dystopian books and I love them! My first one was Matched, I liked how the goverment and all was in it but it wasn't just I read the first two books of The Hunger Games that I fell in love with them.
I love the control of the goverment and how everything seems fresh and real at some points! I love anything futureistic! Better then paranormal sometimes I think!

  28. I love dystopian books! The Hunger Games started it all and now I can't get enough. It's fascinating that their worlds are so different from ours yet most of them think they're living in a utopia.
I'm dying trying to wait for the release for Divergent! Just a few more days. Thank you so much for the giveaway!

I forgot my email address before so here it is: :)

  48. I loved The HUnger Games and Ive heard divergent is just as good :) Please enter me! Thanks so much for hosting this giveaway!

  49. I love dystopian reads for the diversity it provides. The dystopian aspect allows the author to toy with various ideas set in a futuristic or alternate world, ideas that would be impossible in a present or historic setting as they'd then have to account for past/present events/ideas.

And I just love seeing what authors come up with! :)

  55. I've just started reading Dystopian in the past year or two. And I love them! I think it's the idea of a totally different world than the one we're actually living in. The idea that you never know what the future is going to bring.

  56. I love to dystopian books cause I like to think about how the world could be in the future. It's always a very different world, but not like fantasy, because these worlds actually stem from our world and could actually plausibly happen. :)
