  3. I have loved dystopians for years. I remember when I had to explain to my friends WHAT a dystopian even was haha.

What I love... the idea that no matter what, the attempted control and leadership always fails. I love reading each author's take on how that happens... because too often its too true!

    Great give away!!

  4. I loved the novel Wither, a dystopian novel, for the characters' abilites to still escape and do well even in the midst of civilization collapsing. I love dystopian novesl and rarely miss reading any of them. The way the authors create and manipulate the environmeny to portray the hopelessness and helplessness to the reader is one of the best qualities a dystopian novel can have. 7. I <3 dystopian novels, because of how they show how wrong the world can go if we adopt certain ideas. Some dystopian novels also show major human flaws, like the fact that we are keen to ban those around us that seem different or strange to us, etc.

  8. I love dystopian novels because it shows that there's no way to try to create a "perfect" world and trying to control people will only end in chaos. I follow on GFC as squiggles87.

  13. Hi I just started reading dystopia reads. I like them because they are so different from our own world that is almost hard to imagiine that such a place really exists. The hardship that the people go through is amazing to me and the fact that they re oblivious to that astonishes me. I would love to read this book. All boks won are donated to the Middletown High school.

  17. The intriguing thing abour dystopian novels is the uniqueness of the idea, how survival becomes the main goal of the mind, rather than how you look like or whatever social issue, and I'd rather live in a dystopia than the world today. People these days are fake, actors with veils, but not the characters of a dystopia; they're raw, special, and strong in ways no one else can become. Plus, everything becomes more passionate and real.

Thank you for the great giveaway also! (:

  49. I love dystopian reads for the diversity it provides. The dystopian aspect allows the author to toy with various ideas set in a futuristic or alternate world, ideas that would be impossible in a present or historic setting as they'd then have to account for past/present events/ideas.

And I just love seeing what authors come up with! :)

  75. I love reading Dystopian for a ton of reasons, but one of the things I really enjoy is reading about the technology of the future! Like in Matched, I loved reading about the new inventions that they had in their homes!

  78. I like dystopians because they are usually plausible and sometimes seem to serve as a warning of what may come. Plus, the worlds are usually more messed up than our own.

  87. What i love about dystopian novels is how, in the middle of sometimes horrible situations, there are still characters who are strong and compassionate and human as we recognize, just facing incredible circumstances

  99. I haven't quite jumped on the YA Dystopian Wagon yet, but I began to love dystopian novels after reading The Handmaid's Tale. I loved the strong heroine in that book, and it seems like the new YA dystopian books also have strong female characters.
